Nate Zukas has raced and worked in bike shops since 1991. As a big DIY guy, he decided to refinish one of his own frames which led to refinishing teammates and finally customer frames. That work naturally led him to learning to build himself a bike, which led to building customer bikes. Nate has been full time since 2002.
As few months back, Nate emailed and asked if I could recover a Fizik Aliante for his personal bike. It was the only saddle he ever loved. We talked on the phone a bit and he sent the saddle. I recovered it in black leather and sent it back. A bit later the pics below showed up in my inbox.
This bike is a stunner. Belgian blue, lined lugs, seatpost and headtube in red, integrated seatpost and a perfectly chosen black Campy build with debadged stealth wheelset. I am honored that Nate allowed me to recovered a saddle for his personal bike. Recognition from fellow artisans in the industry means the world to me.
